Can you see her?
On January 21, 2023,, a rare "king tide" churned up explosive waves on the southern Oregon coast. One swollen breaker crashed over this rocky crag, splitting the wave into manifold streams of water.
I got this picture of it, but did not see "her" until I looked at the photo later on my computer.
Look closely at the center of the crag. Her eyes seem pleading, like she's longing for help, or maybe comfort, but knowing it will not come.
Zoom in (left), and you will see that every feature of her face -- forehead, eyes, eyebrow, bridge of nose, sweep of hair -- is a natural part of the rock.
